For earlier of this line sources disagree. Many have John Lister (b. ~1370) & Isabel Bolton (b. 1375) married abt. 1395 as parents of Laurence, others have Richard, son of Richard, son of Robert. Genfam has many entries as 'Lyster' and has John Lyster of Eadisford and Midhope (d. 1434-5, m. Katherine) son of Richard Lyster of Derby, Eadisford and Midhope (d. before 1404), son of John Lyster de Derby (a 1312) & Isabel de Bolton (dau. of John de Bolton of Bolton and Midhope),though it also has that my 16th Great Grandmother was Ellen Banastre, dau. of Christopher Banastre. genfam also has two additional generations between my 12th and 11th Great Grandparents, though it seems to be a typo on that page.

Born abt. 1472 or 1483 in Medhope, Yorkshire, England. Died 1537/9 and buried in Gisburn. Married abt. 1496 to Elizabeth Banester (dau. of Thurstan Banester of Swinden).

One source has him born 1460 and married a Elizabeth Bannister, While another also has birthdate of 1460 with him married to Elizabeth "Banester" Banister.
Other source shows he married Mary Belasyse and lists him as a knight.
My 13th Great Grandfather, Christopher Lister
Born circa 1486 in Midhope, Yorkshire, England. Died 1548. Married abt. 1525 to Eleanor Clayton (dau. of John Clayton, Esq. of Clayton).

Other sources list his birth date as abt. 1498 or even 1521, or as being in Gisburn, and his death as circa 1521.

My 12th Great Grandfather, Sir William Lister
Born about 1512/24 in Yorkshire, England. Died 4 Oct. 1582 in Gisburn, Yorkshire, England. Married 1st to Anne Mydhope. Married 2nd, before 1555, to Bridget Pigot (of Medhope, York, England, b. Abt. 1530, dau. of Bartholomew Pigot of Aston Rowant, Oxfordshire & Julvan/Julian Lenthall).
Other sources say birth about 1532 and marriage about 1560 while one has birth abt. 1528 and marriage to Bridget Pigot as 1558.
Sources disagree as to place of birth within Yorkshire, England: Thorton, Craven in Midhope, Gisburn, etc.

Listed as being both of Medhope/Midhope and of Thornton, both in Yorkshire, England.

Other source listes her birth as abt 1565 or abt. 1547 (the 1547 saying in Gisburn, Yorks.), her death as 1592 and her marriage as about 1582.
Her and her husband lived in London, 1584-1594
