The original painting was selected by Governor Frank Keating and will hang in the Governor's Gallery at the State Capital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Native American artist Clif Doyeto, a full-blood Kiowa Indian. Born in Anadarko, Oklahoma, Clif was raised on the Kiowa reservation by his grand parents.
He attended the Chilocco Indian Boarding School and later received a bachelor'd degree in arts and science at Northeastern State University in Tehlequah, Oklahoma. A gifted artis since childhood, throug years of experimentation and research, jClif has developed his own, unique style of painting that not only reflects his Kiowa heritage, but also his deep respect for nature and Mother Earth. Featured nationally in the Southwest Art Magazine, he was also recognized at the Oklahoma City Indian Heritage Art Show as one of the leading contemporary Indian artists in the country. Additionally, his paintings have dedicated the grand openings of art galleries and hospitals, and his work continues to be enjoyed by private collectors throughout the Uninted States and the world.
Clif has always carried deep feelings for his work. "Painting gives me the opportunity to express how I feel about my people and the earth we share," he said. "While I often experience a certain sense of loss when my paintings sell, at the same time I know I have shared the grace and nobility of a silent, proud people and their undying respect for all living creatures."
