Ramblings of an Insomniac
Kindergarten this wall of strength
you think you see
is only an illusion
built with the cardboard bricks
of kindergarten days
don't lean too hard
or i will crumble
fall down
run away
and lose myself
i am lost already
and searching for
those kindergarten days
where the recipe for reality
includes fantasies and dreams
and imagination
and blue hearts with red trim
instead of vice-versa
and untied shoes
and ratty green nap mats
where strong indian features
make teacher a godess
and i am a muse
whose playground is the earth
how many lies
do you have to make
before you believe what you hear?

and how many ties
do you have to break
before the memory disappears?

in how many places
do you have to hide
before you feel secure?

and how many faces
are you gonna disguise
before you find who you are???
Unveiled
poetic inspiration
that midnight feeling
of desolation
so sad
that we see pain
as art...
