Book Review 1: "The DMC Book of Charted Tatting Designs" by K. + I.L. Nikolajsen
Pub: Lacis, 1999 $10 paperback.

Includes: brief how-to-tat instructions, 9 motifs, 14 edgings (with corners!) doilies made with motifs and in rounds, insertions (great bookmarks) 2 elaborate collars, a basket + misc.
Patterns range from beginner to advanced and all are clearly diagrammed.
I would highly reccomend this book--it is filled with beautiful lace. All the pieces are clearly photographed in black and white.
Tatted lace can be made with a needle or shuttle; all patterns in these books can be done with either.
Book Review 2: "Make Many Merrily" by Karey Solomon
