CALIFORNIA

An American flag at Monterey Bay in Carmel, CA

An oceanscape of Monterey Bay.  This day was gorgeous!

A great picture!  My favorite, personally.

From left: Uncle Chuck; Aunt Jasmine; Cynthia, my stepmom; my dad, Bill; and my brother, Steven.

My aunt Jasmine & uncle Chucks house in Carmellocated way up in the mountains.  This house is GORGEOUS.

Lets see, we were just about to present Cynthia (most left) with her birthday present: a DVD made with all kinds of pictures.  Quote from Cynthia: the best birthday present Ive ever received.  Chucks in the middle, and Jaz is on the right.

Another day on this trip, we went to see my grandma.  This is me giving a concert for her at her retirement home.  Photo courtesy of my dad at my request.. :)

Me again...playing the piano.  I think this song is All I Ask of You from Phantom of the Opera.

Another great shot taken by my dad at my grandma's retirement home.

UTAH

Well, here we are in very crummy Utah, where the driving is crazy, the thinking is backwards, and the snow is falling.  Seriously, every stoplight here is unprotected, and the people that drive here are so aggressive you can smell death every time you walk out the door.  I have come close to getting in six car accidents, and people I know have gotten in them.  Luckily (or unluckily), the only damage that has come to my car was hitting a cement post at a Conoco gas station (lol).  This state has one thing going for it: the scenery.  Check out some of these shots below.

Okay, this is one of the weirdest photos I've ever seen.  Check out the cloud formations in the mountains; this reminded Steven of a train passing by, so I've titled this "The Train."  That's Steven 'ushering the way' to the train. Photo courtesy of Cynthia.

This was one of the weirdest days in Utah history (for as long as we were there).  Sunny, rainy, sunny, rainy, cloudy, sunny, rainy, in that order, in the course of about 4 hours.  I tried really hard to get a good rainbow shot with my 1.2 megapixel camera.  Here's the result.
