Adobe Photoshop course
This
course will offer first level training in Adobe Photoshop and will include
outputting work through Quark XPress to a digital color proofer. The
course prerequisites are Orientation/Operation (either platform) and Quark
XPress or comparable experience.
Topics covered include: Tool, Pallette & Menu
Descriptions, Color Control Basics, Rulers, File Support (Import/Export),
Channels (Alpha), Selection Techniques, Traps, Color Conversions, Screen Mode
Displays, Filters (All), DCS (Digital Color Separations), Basic Image Editing,
Printing Overview, and Proofs.

Adobe illustrator course
This course is designed
to introduce participants to the design software Illustrator as it relates to
the printing industry, specifically electronic prepress. Special emphasis will
be placed on working with customer files as they come into the prepress
department. The course prerequisites are Orientation/Operation (either
platform) and Quark XPress or comparable experience.
Topics covered include: Basic Concepts, Working with
Tools, Stripping, Scanning, Masking, Color Separations, Trapping, and Printing.
