MACINTOSH ORIENTATION/OPERATION
This is the Institute's
first-step program introducing participants to the Macintosh Computer. In
this introductory program covering computer technology in the workplace,
participants will learn how to use the desktop, mouse and keyboard.
Participants will also learn how to use commands, and manage icons, windows,
files and disks. No prior knowledge or experience is required.
Topics covered include: Basic Macintosh Skill,
Finding Your Way Around, Looking at Windows, Managing Your Work, Working with
Documents/Applications, and Printing/Scanning Documents.

WINDOWS 2000 ORIENTATION/OPERATION
The first
step in the ever evolving and expanding PC platform. This course will
introduce users to the WIN 98 interface and provide a comprehensive hands-on
experience. Participants will learn to; use the mouse and keyboard
effectively, navigate using Explorer, mange Directories and Disks and create
Word-processing and Spreadsheet documents. No prior knowledge or experience is
required.
Topics covered include: Basic PC Operating Skills, Anatomy
of a Window, Icons, Desktop Navigation using Explorer, Taskbar, and Working with
Documents/Applications.
