Web page publishing

This course is designed to introduce participants to the different ways to publish information on the Internet with a focus on World Wide Web home pages.  Participants will learn to create their own home pages and how to link your work with other pages on the Net.  You will learn the different file formats supported by the Internet for graphics, video, audio and text.  Software covered will be Dreamweaver, Netscape Communicator, Fetch, Graphics Converter, Sparkle, intermediate UNIX commands and UU Code.  The prerequisite for Web Page Publishing is the Basic Internet course or comparable experience.
Topics covered include:  TCP, PPP/SLIP, Hypertext Markup Language, Graphic Data Bases, and Anonymous FTP.
