About the Famous Pendlemist Prefix

 Spinning Star

My first Siamese was a gift in 1963. I was a newly married newcomer to the town of Nelson in Lancashire and from my house I had a clear view of Pendle Hill, an eerie sight when shrouded in swirly mists and where, after a snowfall, you could see the plain outline of a ‘special’ lady on her broomstick. I was not therefore surprised to discover the wonderful stories of the country areas around Pendle, full of ‘witchcraft’ and ‘spells’ and avidly read the ‘Lancashire Witches’ by Harrison Ainsworth and the novel ‘Mist over Pendle’ by Robert Neill. Within a couple of years I was actually living in a seventeenth century farmhouse a stone’s throw away from the witchcraft village of Roughlee where it all happened..............
I had had perfect guidance with my choice of PREFIX !!
