My first Siamese was a
gift in 1963. I was a newly married newcomer to the town of Nelson
in Lancashire and from my house I had a clear view of Pendle
Hill, an eerie sight when shrouded in swirly mists and where, after
a snowfall, you could see the plain outline of a special
lady on her broomstick. I was not therefore surprised to discover
the wonderful stories of the country areas around Pendle, full
of witchcraft and spells and avidly read
the Lancashire Witches by Harrison Ainsworth and
the novel Mist over Pendle by Robert Neill. Within
a couple of years I was actually living in a seventeenth century
farmhouse a stones throw away from the witchcraft village
of Roughlee where it all happened..............
I had had perfect guidance with
my choice of PREFIX !!
