The Swiss Cottage Saint John Ambulance Brigade Cadet Combined Division (Swiss Cottage SJAB) was formed on June 30th, 1964. It began with a small force of 15 ambulance cadets and 20 nursing cadets. Continual efforts were made to increase the strength of the Division. With the National Headquarters'' approval the Adult Division became functional in mid-1979. At present, the Division holds a prided strength of 178 members, one of the largest uniformed institutions in the school. Yet this figure does not include the graduated students who return every weekend as officers to help enthusiastically in the training.

Throughout the years, the Division has been doing proud to the school and the country. Besides the learning of First-Aid, Home Nursing and other related skills for Civil Defence Rescue Missions, the Division excels in the competitions it takes part in. Till date, the Division has been making more than encouraging scores. Our championship for the Footdrill Competitions and First Aid Competitions in both the Nursing and Ambulance cadet section has further motivated better performance. The Division has frequently been appointed to form the Guards-of-Honour contingent for various inspection parades. Two of them for example are the Youth Festival Opening Ceremony and the Brigade Inspection.

All of us have one common aim: to go all for whatever we do; to strive for better results; to win the competitions that we take part in.
