Welcome, viewers! This
is Trigon Gametech, a group devoted to making games! Gosh!
Welcome, everybody! Anyway, this post is just to let you know a little about our group (we're not a company, since we do this pro bono), we (I) make computer games for Windows with C++ and using the DirectX libraries. So far, we've (I've) made two games: Karma Madness and Space Pirates. Though I do admittedly do most of the work in this group so far, there are numerous people involved - Eric (AKA Cybrax - I think): Lead Designer, Co-Leader of Trigon and Artist. A decent 2D artist with excellent ideas for Role-Playing Games, though my arrogant opinion is that he thinks too much inside the box that has held RPG's captive for so many years. Gamedev.net's Design Corner message board has a cool thread right now which I think sums it up nicely: Stop Goblin Genocide! He's also a Republican, an American citizen, and is quite proud of it (No comment from myself *cough cough*). Derek (AKA Dorget): Programmer-In-Training. He's learning C++ as we speak (Are we speaking? I know I am, to myself, that is), and he shows great potential to become an illustrious Jedi...er programmer. A darned nice guy too! Jonathan (No AKA): Artist, minion. Jon likes anime and computers, though he's not often at the meetings. Come back to us, Jonathan! A very clever person with strong opinions. Tommy (AKA That Little Annoying Thing That Likes To Run Around): Goblin. Though suspended from the group for some reason I can't quite remember, Tommy is at heart a nice guy who you can never defeat. A generally good worker, in my opinion, when he wants to be. Ryan (AKA YodaCheese): Lead Programmer and Head of Unrendered Effect. Though he works at another 'studio' on another game, Ryan's help has been invaluable in my prgramming endeavors. He is quite skilled at programming, and has made a game called BunnyToss, which should be on this site shortly. As evidenced by his nickname, he has a wacky sense of humor, an unnatural affection for cheese, and is obsessed with Star Wars. He is currently working on refining BunnyToss to a point of perfection. His larger project, CheeseWars, is currently in the design stages. CheeseWars is a turn based strategy game in which four sides battle it out for the last piece of cheese on Earth. It has a wacky story and a cool ending planned out, and I wish him luck! (The sides that I can remember are Cheddar (you), American, Muenster (sp?), and Swiss. am the best person in the universe. Everyone I meet bows down to
me, and they give me food. Aren't I humble? Hehe. I've
been working on Trigon's current project, Quest for the Orbs / Planesailor,
for two years (off and on) and have just recently started in earnest.
The Atomograph engine, as I call it, is nowhere near complete, but my first
working engine/DX wrapper, called the SuperSphere, is complete and works
decently for what it is (a PoS). I have enjoyed programming since
I was about 10, when I worked in QBasic. Then, I got into Visual
Basic, and finally came around to working in C++. I think DirectX
is awesome, and so is C++, just to get that on the record. I also
enjoy writing, and casual 3D modeling with Strata 3D (It's really easy,
and it's free too!) Go here

All right, now that I've got that out of the way, it's time to tell you about all our wonderful products. Trigon's first game, Karma Madness, is the kind of game that you release and then never talk about again. It has very small replay value, but decent graphics and cute sounds. (Like we need more of those games around - hehe). Grab it here. Our second attempt was much more successful. Called SpacePirates, it is a two-player (on one computer) space battle game. It took about ten hours total to program, so it's our most advanced yet! :) I haven't uploaded it yet because it still needs a little polish, but it will be available soon. Currently I'm working on the more advanced Atomograph engine, and with it I'll be making a little 2D Super Smash Brothers clone with farm animals. Our current baby, however, is Planesailor. Planesailor, which starts off woth a smaller game called Quest for the Orbs, follows the adventures of a party of heroes (or villains) trooping about the Multiverse in a magical galleon. Quest for the Orbs is the game in which they acquire the boat. Though details are still hazy, and we'll soon be devoting whole pages to the games, it looks as if you'll be able to choose a multitude of species, such as human (duh), orc, elf, Dirian (they're like halflings, for you D&D enthusiasts), and possibly Demons. It will feature a unique advancement system that is different for each of the three classes (Warrior, Priest, and Wizard). There will be a multitude of enemies, as well as many differing planes.
