surprised, or greatly disappointed. The author, AM Entsminger,
is

December 2005 Interview
Q: How long have you been writing?
A: As soon as I was taught how to read, and
how to
write, I began relaying the many stories I would often share with my
family with a pencil and paper. That's probably why I didn't go into
acting later on in life... I've always been a bit more of the type
who
writes down instructions, dictates who does them, then sits back and
lets the other person have all the fun. So, to answer your question:
Too
long.
 Q: When did
the ideas for the INVERNIATO stories begin to formulate?
A: Probably when I was around 12 or so. I
started
having these dreams. I didn't quite know what they meant, but I knew
they were of great importance. I began writing them down, and the
rest
is history.
 Q: Did you
ever encounter nay-Sayers during your middle school and high school
years, who doubted the success of your novel.
 A: I'd be lying if I said I haven't. I
question the
purpose behind your line of questioning, though. I'm presently a high
school student, in my junior year. I continue to have critics (though
I'll refrain from mentioning them specifically) but they are
strongly
outweighed by my supporters. My current composition teacher, for
example, has provided an immense amount of support and inspiration
for
working on Inverniato. I'm quite certain that attending her class,
and
the detailed lectures she delivers on a daily basis have helped
rekindle
my love for writing.
 Q: Have you
ever been 'in trouble' with the law?
 A: No- Absolutely not.
 Q: Is it
true
that you presently live with your parents?
 A: Well, generally speaking most
sixteen-year-olds
would. I highly doubt that any half-way decent parent would rather
send
their offspring out into the cruel modern world, than spend an extra
two
years or so teaching them how to deal with it. At least, not my
parents.
I also live with my two-year-old brother, who often regards me as a
third parent. We're very close, in other words.
 Q: What
colleges are you planning to attend within the next couple of
years?
 A: I don't wish to sound prejudice, but I've
always
favored Washington State University's Cougars over the University of
Washington Huskies. Therefore, as a long-term educational goal, my
first
choice would be WSU. I'm familiar with the campus, which definitely
helps. I visited the Pullman Campus last May during the WAFFA state
Convention last year, as a representative of my high school, in the
state choir.
