WebTop was designed to allow people to use standard HTML, CSS, JavaScript and DOM to create a custom desktop. You can launch programs, open files and folders, create your own shortcuts, menus, toolbars and even a slide show if you wish.
What's New in version 1.2?
The new menu is less cluttered. The options that were in the menu are now located in the new Options dialog.
Version 1.2 has improved security by requiring you to add any programs you want launched from WebTop in the options dialog. This will prevent someone from starting system critical files.
You can decide what type of content is displayed. Image, sound, video, scripting, Java and ActiveX are all optional and easy to turn on or off in the options dialog.
