Poetry
I have only ever written one poem that
is worth putting here. I wrote it for Year 10 poetry. Here it is.
Seperated
At Birth
A teenager goes out every night
To shoot hoops
In her driveway at Happy
Valley
She is 16
Guys like her, but she's
too busy to notice
She still hasn't found time
to learn to drive
Mum drives her to training
anyway
She likes reading
She's always on the run
She never stops to rest
No time to be a triplet
Her triplet goes out every
night
To parties, all over Adelaide
She is 16
Dated every boy at school
Drives her parent's Laser
Drunken
Never reads
Doesn't remember how
When she's not partying
She has her own party
In the back seat of her
car
No time to be a triplet
Her triplet never goes out
She never got the opportunity
She rests at Happy Valley
Cemetery
She would be 16
But died during birth
Can't drive
Would have loved to
She would drive to the library
on Saturdays
And read books in the park
She would persuade her sisters
to come too
They would talk
Making time to be triplets
They have grown apart
Went their separate ways
They have become strangers
They are no longer triplets
And will never be again
