Studies on the New Testament book of Philippians: Understand that I wrote and taught these for an adult Sunday School class over a time period of some months. As you will note in each lessons text, I began each lesson with the same reminder and "ROE" (that's "Rules of Engagement" for you non-aviation types out there). I advise you to take them to heart as well.
Oh yeah, you are also going to need to have a Bible with you when you go through these, as I usually didn't include the actual text of the verse in the text of the lesson - hey, >I< had a Bible open beside me when I read them, YOU should TOO. I recommend a really GOOD translation, like the New American Standard Version (NASV), or the New International Version (NIV). They are both the results of excellent scholarship as well as absolute dedication to the God Who authored the pages they translated. Oh sure, you >could< stick with the King James Version (KJV), but only if you happen to >be< a 16th Century believer. Otherwise, I'd strongly urge you to get a proper translation for YOUR Century. Of course, it's >your< call - all three work fine for me, as you will see...
If you don't want to open the lessons right now in your browser, or if they don't "show" well there, you can "right click" on the link, select the "Save link as..." option on the little drop-down menu, and save the file as a "text" file to your hard drive or a floppy disk.Lesson 1; Lesson 2; Lesson 3; Lesson 4; Lesson 5; Lesson 6; Lesson 7; Lesson 8; Lesson 9; Lesson 10; Lesson 11; Lesson 12; Lesson 13; Lesson 14; Lesson 15; Lesson 16; Lesson 17; Lesson 18; Lesson 19; Lesson 20; Lesson 21; Lesson 22; Lesson 23; Lesson 24; Lesson 25; Lesson 26; Lesson 27; Lesson 28; Lesson 29 (>whew!<)
