Dolphins....I absolutely love dolphins! I hope to have more in here as time goes by....but for now this is it! If I do nothing more here than to get someone else open their eyes to the beauty of Dolphins....then I have accomplished a major goal for this page.

Here are a couple of pictures that I took at Ft. Walton Beach, Florida in 1995. Yes, they were taken at the Gulfarium. But for a "land-locked" dolphin fanatic...this place was a taste of heaven! The first picture is the only dolphin that I have ever touched...which was an amazing experience. We were watching the "show" and she swam right over to me(I was standing apart from the others) and on purpose chunked the ball on my head! The trainer said that she had never done anything like that before...and would I like to get closer. Would I?! Bliss...it was just sheer bliss...as any dolphin lover will tell you. Words just can not describe the feeling. One of these days...I hope to swim with a dolphin, or a group of dolphins in the wild....this is one of my dreams...

a dolphin sings

A separate path, a shared past...your sea.
There began my reason, my passion then.
My path - the sunshine; yours - tranquillity.
Where does one end, and the other begin?

I have war'd and died a thousand times more.
You of oceans live in blessed harmony.
Here I've conquered all plains, even to soar,
While you give cetaceans their melody.

Swim your separate way mid seas sublime,
While I go searching life's final decent.
Though now apart we were one, for all time.
Would we speak sharing this, I'd be content.

From here within me a lone dolphin rose,
Singing love songs only true wisdom knows.
