Welcome to FB and Tess's Holiday in Las Vegas Page !! As everyone in Yahoo Crib is aware, Tess and FB went to Las Vegas on April 8, 1999, for 3 nights of fun, laughter, gambling and just a little bit of drinking!! This is something Tess and FB looked forward to for weeks, and to help speed the time along, well, let's just say we got together to practise our wine drinking skills!! This trip wouldn't have been as much fun to look forward to without our dear friend VegasKindaGuy, also known as our Tour Guide and Pimpdaddy!! So, here's our version of the holiday, starting with the few weeks prior to the trip !! Enjoy!

For weeks prior to the trip, the countdown started, first 27 days to go.... then 26 and so on. During this time, we spent a lot of time on the phone (and netmeeting), making plans with our VEGASKINDAPIMPDADDYTOURGUY What a good time we have over the internet and the phone, we can't imagine what it's going to be like to meet him in person at the airport.

Today, Tess got the airplane tickets and baggage tags !! woooooohooooo.... Our trip is a reality.... gotta drink 4 bottles of wine to celebrate!! FB could use the wine, she can't believe she just paid good money to get on an airplane (major afraid of flying)...immediately books doctors appointment to get tranquelizers so she can fly. FB has way too much to drink and passes out on the floor, while Tess is chatting in netmeeting with Vegas. According to Tess, Vegas forced her to strategically place the luggage tags and take a pic.......lol. Well, here's the pic!!

Tess and FB both worked on this day, Monday March 29, 1999. We both got very special phone call. Hello?, I said when I answered the phone at work... nothing but silence on the other end of the phone. After a couple of seconds, blasting from the earpiece, is Elvis Presley singing VIVA LAS VEGAS!!! I was at my desk, not looking very professional, as I grinned from ear to ear and giggled until I had tears in my eyes. After the song, there's Vegas saying, 10 more days !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That evening, he sent me his own words to Elvis's song.......... so, ladies and gentlemen, the following is the song, written by Yahoo's VEGASKINDAGUY, titled DIVA'S LAS VEGAS!!

April 1, 1999 - One Week to Go !!!!!!!!!!! Oh My God !!!!! FB just can't believe that, one week from today, she'll be drugged and on a plane bound for Las Vegas !! For those of you who don't know this, FB has a very major fear of flying that goes beyond butterflies in the stomach. Better drink some wine to calm the nerves !!

April 2, 1999 - 6 days to go !!!!!!! FB's husband and kids gone for the weekend.....the perfect opportunity for Tess and FB to hone those drinking skills !! wooooooooohooooooooooooo !! VIVA LAS VEGAS!!!!! Tess and FB ordered pizza and drank a few bottles of wine to wash it down! We were worried about our VEGASKINDAGUY..... he hadn't been on-line all day and night !! Oh where, oh where could he be. Turns out, we almost lost our Pimpdaddy because of failed brakes in his car....Thank God he's okay !! (Besides, where on earth would we find another like him in just 6 short days !!) J/K Vegas.....you know we love ya !! Here we are, practising our wine drinking skills again !!

April 3, 1999 - 5 days to go !!!!!!! FB and Tess both wake up feeling kinda yucky ! Way too much to drink lastnight. Tess goes home and FB gets out the suitcase and starts packing a few things, all the while listening to Viva Las Vegas !!

April 4, 1999 - 4 days to go !!!!!! FB wakes up with a damn headcold !! Gotta get orange juice and drugs, as there is no way, and I mean NO WAY, I'm going to Las Vegas with a cold !! Searches whole house, and discovers, to her dismay, that the Easter Bunny did not bring chocolate while she was sleeping and dreaming about Las Vegas. Stupid Bunny !! OMG.... gotta change the clocks... It's daylight savings time today !! Spring forward..... one hour closer to Las Vegas !! wooooooooooohooooooooooooooooooooooo !!

April 6, 1999 - 48 hours !! OMG.... In just 48 hours we'll be in Las Vegas !! Can't believe it. FB is really starting to panic. Woke up at 2:30 am in a cold sweat.... dreaming about flying !! UUUUUUGGGGGGGHHHHHHH..... am I going to make it??????????? Talked to Vegas on the phone, got to hear Viva Las Vegas. He sounds just as excited as Tess and I about this holiday !!

April 7, 1999 - 24 hours to go !! At this time, tomorrow morning, we'll be taking off from Vancouver International Airport. Wow.....tummy doing flip flops. Still have this damn cold, so not going to work. Need to recover in the next 24 hours !! So very excited now !! Gonna spend the day getting rid of this cold and packing the last of my things. Counting the hours now.....WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO !! Took my kids out for dinner tonight......kind of a last hurrah before Mom goes on her Holiday !! Think they're afraid I'm not coming back...LOL. I'm afraid the plane is gonna crash and Mom is gonna end up resembling strawberry jam!! Gotta go have my bath and get into bed.....gotta get up soon !!
