BLADE BASES

This guide lists the most-recommended Blade Bases and their features.

Attack

Aggressive bases that move around the stadium a lot. Good for knocking out Endurance types.

Dragoon S (this is extremely low and flat, well-suited for Uppercut attacks)
Dragoon V
Dragoon V2
Gaia Dragoon V
SG Flat- Galzzly, Kid/Master Dragoon, Seaborg 2

Defense

These bases don't move around very much, but they absorb and deflect damage, which is a good counter to Attack types.

Draciel
Draciel S (according to Beyblade Damashii, this is only useful when combined with a North MG spin gear and used in a magnetic stadium; otherwise it just gets knocked around too easily)
Draciel F (practically useless on its own, but gives a good defensive boost when combined with a free-spinning shaft like Wolborg or Wolborg 2)
SG Sharp- Galman, Kid/Master Draciel
Voltaic Ape

Endurance

These bases spin for a long time, making them useful for outlasting Defense types.

Auto-Change Balancer
Bearing Stinger
Metal Draciel
Master Dranzer
Wolborg

Off the Chain recommends the following technique for setting Auto-Change Balancer to start out in Endurance mode instead of Attack mode:

1) Remove the Attack Ring
2) Hold moving part of base with thumb & index finger
3) Rotate counter-clockwise
4) Replace Attack Ring
5) Rotate Attack Ring slightly counter-clockwise

Combination

Bases with more than one feature, such as (Endurance/Defense) or (Attack/Endurance).

SG Semi-Flat- Galeon, Flash Leopard, Knight Dranzer, Master Driger (balanced Attack, Defense and Endurance)
Burning Kerberous (Endurance/Attack)
Dranzer S (Endurance/Defense)
Dranzer F (can be switched to Attack, Defense or Combination mode)
Dranzer V2 (Endurance/Attack)
Driger S (Attack/Endurance)
Driger V, Takara version (Endurance/Attack)
Driger V2 (Endurance/Attack)
Wolborg 2 (Attack/Endurance)

NOT RECOMMENDED

These Blade Bases just aren't very useful. Some of them also break easily.

Cyber Dragoon
Draciel V
Draciel V2
Driger V, Hasbro sharp tipped version (The old Hasbro version has a sharp tip-- it loses balance and falls easily. The new Hasbro version with a semi-flat tip, and the Takara version, are fine.)
Trygle
Wyborg
