The Life & Times of SpockFu

       Hello everyone, it's me, Peter. That's right, my real name is Peter. SpockFu is just a nickname I came up with one day as I was joking around with my friends. One of my friends named Matthew was acting like he knew Kung-Fu, and so I looked at him and said, "Really? Well I know Spock-Fu!" Then I spread my fingers in the traditional Star Trek Vulcan greeting. Thus the name SpockFu.
       The picture you see above is my rendition of myself. I'm not an artist, but I think the picture captures my personality, and gives a general idea of what I look like. I am a 24 year old male from Ohio. I have a Bachelor's degree in physics. I am currently aspiring to become a scientist or an engineer. I play in the worship team at my church. I am a trumpet player. Not too long ago we recorded an album called RISE UP. It was one of the funnest things I've ever done. I'm not a professional musician, so to be given an opportunity to record an album with such talented musicians was a real blessing and a dream come true.
       To me the most important thing in my life is God. I have been a Christian for as long as I can remember, but when I joined Church On the Rise, my whole life changed. That's because I learned what it meant to have a relationship with Jesus. Knowing ABOUT God is one thing, but actually KNOWING him can make your whole life change for the better. God continues to bless me in my good times, my bad times, and the times in between. I can't seem to get enough of him.
       I also have been blessed with a wonderful family and many wonderful friends. I have a brother named Gary, and a sister named Brandy, and of course a Mom and Dad. My best friends names are Matt and Robert, but it seems like I have more friends now than I have ever had before. I've got friends from the band, friends from my Bible study, and friends from my church. The best part is that every one of my friends are Christians. I've got friends from New Zealand, Japan, Korea, and all across the United States. That's not even counting my e-mail friends.
       My dreams in life are to one day write a song that becomes popular. I want to get as good as a professional at playing my trumpet. I love to write, and so one day I want to write a book. I want to open my own business one day. I want to one day marry a woman who will overlook my faults and accept me for who I am. Most importantly, though, I want to continue to grow in my relationship with Jesus.
       Finally I will just say that I tend to be a bit strange, but in a good and funny way. You've seen my site, so I'm sure that you know what I mean. There is much more to me, though, than these six paragraphs. The Bible says that I am fearfully and wonderfully made, and I can definitely vouch for that.
