Well, you found my real picture. As you can see, I'm not exactly blessed in the area of good looks. But the Bible says that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I wish I was a little less fearfully, and a little more wonderfully, but God thinks I'm beautiful, and that's all that matters. Actually he likes the way I look, the way I sing, and everything about me. Yes even the way that I sing :)
Everything that I lack in good looks, God has given me in other areas. I am a strong believer and practicer in the Golden Rule which states, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." I am kind hearted, compassionate, honest, funny, and on fire for Jesus. I don't drink, smoke, swear, take drugs, steal, or any of those things. And you know what? I have more fun than any person probably anywhere. You don't have to sin to have fun. You don't have to act "cool" to fit in. I promise you that no matter how cool you are on this earth, it's not going to be enough to keep away the flames of Hell. But you don't have to go to Hell.
You see, it says in the Bible that ALL have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. To God all sin is the same. If you just look at someone and think something bad about them, then it's the same as murder to God. So no matter what you've done, no matter who you are, no matter how many times you've done it, God will forgive you if you just ask him. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever should not perish, but have everlasting life. Jesus was not sent to condemn the world, but to save it. - John 3:16 The whosoever that the Bible was talking about is you. It's me. It's all of us. All you have to do is ask God to forgive you, and confess it in Jesus name, and you will get to go to heaven with me.
You don't need a priest, you don't need an alter, or a blood sacrifice or anything like that. Just say this prayer: "Father God, I am a sinner. I have done many things that I am not proud of. You know everything that I've done wrong, and I know that I am not worthy of your forgiveness. But you gave your son, Jesus so that I might be forgiven anyways. So Lord, I repent of all my sins. I'm sorry, Lord for all that I've done. Please come into my heart. Please teach me to be holy and righteous. I want to serve you, and I give my life to you, Lord. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
