Getting Started
As soon as you select " Yes, I want to send Hindi mails", a compose box will open for you. e-patra is based on the phonetic logic. All you need to complete is following two steps :
1. Download the Hindi font.
To download the Hindi Fonts please Click Here.
2. Click on Help, read it completely and
carefully.
Composing the Message.
1. Address Block
Type the email addresses of the receiver and the
sender in English in the following manner.
Copy to ( Cc: ) is optional.

Message Typing Block
Once you are done with the address block, the next step
is to type the message using Roman English and let e-patra convert it into
Hindi automatically. If some funny conversion happens
please do not bother and refer help. You can edit the
text any time you wish before sending the message. Here
is a sample how you can go about typing the message
in Hindi without knowing Hindi typing
Important
: If you see Hindi conversion not happening in Hindi text
preview window, please click the mouse in the Hindi text
preview window.
3. Send the Message
Once you are done with the typing and happy with
the message you just typed in Hindi. Use the following
button.
