Welcome to my Boardgames Page. You will find information on German games, family games, card games, etc. For Diplomacy look here. 
Intimate Settlers the New two player variant for Siedlers. 
It uses the basic set, but not the standard set up, and is similar to the card game. The game is played like the basic game, but uses the ship rules from the Seafarer Expansion (you do not need to own this expansion, or even to have played it as rules for ships are included in the rules). Additional victory points are available. The game requires more strategy and skill, and is less reliant on luck as where you expand, or place an individual road becomes highly important.

Since its creation & release in 1997, I have had a lot of feedback, all positive, some with suggestions. Suggestions may be added as optional rules (check the Rules page). For information on when these pages change, register below. 

 

The Settlers of Catan (Die Seidler von Catan)

This game has been described by others to "good, but not that good", though I disagree. I was first attracted to this game at StabCon, a gaming convention mid-1995. Since then I have played it at other Cons. I have found that there are not only web sites covering the game but that someone has bought the license to produce an english version of the game. 
The story does not stop there, as Kosmos have extended the collection. First with an expansion set so 5-6 players can play. Then came Kartenspiel, a different game based on the same idea - this time a card game for two players. As of May 1995 there is another expansion set for the original game Seefahrer that adds ships and new scenarios (another expansion to make this a six player is due out June/July), aswell as the tournament expansion set for the card game.

This game "Lion Heart" is the new Klaus Tuber game, this time coming from Gold Sieber. I will stick a review in soon. If you want the rules translated then I have two versions. Download them as text files here and here.
