(Continued)

From here on, it's stuff about my art projects.. hope you dont' mind.. this is the best way to share them and I'm happy to share anything YOU would like to share at any time, also.  Just let me know!  In fact, if YOU share something, maybe I won't natter on about myself so much... LOLOL!!!

This one is a pencil portrait.  It didn't seem to photograph very well, but it's good enough to get the general idea.

This is another pencil project.. on watercolor paper.. that had to meet specific criteria.  It had to be divided into 5 sections and tell something about us and our lives.  That's me in the center... me as Crone.  It's not meant to be putting down age and wrinkles.. it's a celebration of all I have learned in my lifetime.  The third eye in the middle of my forehead represents wisdom, which I am always seeking.  The top section is about my poetry, with one poem from when I was very young written around the heart, one from three years or so ago on the right (I'll write it below because it's short), and a short one from a dear friend on the left, celebrating my 61st birthday.  The right section is about my connection to all of you via the computer.  That's you guys up above the monitor.  Below the thing that represents teh keyboard are little buildings representing all the things to which this contraoption connects me... libraries, schools, churches, public entities, etc.  The bottom section is about Mexican art, which is a big focus for me right now.  I am currently working on a big 3-part art piece that is all made up of Mexican folk art, religious art, movie posters, Loteria cards, fine art, etc.  The left section is about my music and shows a couple of the instruments I like to play.    It slipped a bit behind the mat, so parts of the left and bottom are cut off.

Here's that poem.. on the right.. the one with the frog in it...

Mr. Wrong

Handsome price, knight in shining armor, Mr. Right,

Just gave up on you — you don't exist.

White hat, silver star, super hero, go and fly a kite.

Frogs don't turn to princes with a kiss.
