(Continued)
Since it's winter break and I'm not in school full-time, I'm making as much art as I can. This part is about what I am doing to my bathroom... and it's art, not decorating... LOLOLOL!!! I live in a 30-year-old mobilehome in a senior village. I moved here right after I got the cancer diagnosis and I wish I had been able to have the place painted before I moved here. I did have the outside painted and it's white with terra cotta and dark green trim. Inside, it's all that dark seventies paneling and I hate it.. it's dark and gloomy... and I'm trying to update it a little at a time. This bathroom had brown, rust, and gold metallic wallpaper above and on the ends of the pullman and on the soffit. So I took that off, prepped the wall, and daubed on paint in wild colors to match my towels, which are melon, lemon, lime, grape, and blueberry. I was not at all pleased with the result, so I decided to stick some Caribbean art on it... just a little... then it just kept looking better and better (to me) and I ended up with this. I plan to paint the rest of the room in an off-white.
I wish you could see this in real life... it's really bright and colorful... and probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I love it.
You can see some closeups of some of the actual art on the next page.
