First the report... then the pictures... hang in there!
The weather couldn't have been better! I was really sweating it (no pun intended) after I had announced it for Tom's... because the forecasts were sometimes for HOT during the intervening period... and Tom's is awfully humid and uncomfortable when it's awfully hot.
It was great to see CajunQJ (Doris) with us again and all better now!
How SUPER to see AWalls1050 (Annie). Her monitor has been broken, so she has not been able to be online. Some of us had talked to her on the phone, so we knew she was okay except for SEVERE withdrawals from having to be off the computer. Thanks to her nephew, she should be up and running tonight (we hope and so does she!) And thanks to CajunQJ and JanCan22, who also offered her a monitor. What a great bunch of people our friends are!
Wonderful to have CavemanQ with us again all the way from Las Vegas.. and to wish him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
HUGE congratulations to Charlie (CWP157) and BettyAnn780 (Betty), who plan to marry on the 29th of this month! We wish you both a long and happy life together.
And hey... how about those gals (Dee and Dodie) driving all the way from Indio and Palm Springs? I told them to bring sweaters so they didn't take a chill in our 90-degree weather... LOLOL!!!
We all looked and looked for Carrol, but never did see anyone answering his description. It did give us a lot of excuses to speak to strangers, however. Hope we get to see him next time!
Sending out some special prayers and vibes for KidKidd (Jamie) who is having surgery on Monday for colon cancer. His spirits are good, his prognosis looks good now that he has some GOOD doctors on the case, he's a fighter, and our prayers will help him get well in a hurry.
VistaGal (Virginia) couldn't be with us today because her daughter was having surgery. We sure hope everything is okay. Those of us who are the praying sort will add her to our prayer lists, and the rest of us will send out good vibes to the universe on her behalf.
Lotsa000 (Nancy) and Rodwoods weren't with us today because Nancy has a conflicting monthly meeting on the second Saturday. We will be moving back to first Saturday in November, if the creek don't rise... LOLOL!!! Next month is also tentatively planned for the SECOND Saturday to accommodate a visit from Montyxiii, my long-time dear friend and mentor.
TonerKing and RosalynG weren't with us today because they went to The Big Spin. Their daughter won a chance at the wheel and they went to cheer her on. I hope she won BIG!!!!! I meant to watch the show but got busy making these pages and the time slipped right away. Add in some special prayers for Ros as she faces more cancer tests and treatments.
How great to welcome some new folks to our luncheon! First timers were:
JanCan22, who came from Redlands to be with us today. Jan and I go waaaaaaaayyyyyyy back ... we used to camp and prospect together (we did more visiting than actual prospecting) with a local gold prospecting club.
MrJerryDaniels, who lives in Chino Hills, just a bit north of Corona.
How marvelous to see PerkyCA (Joyce) and RenoBarn and their two "babies" two darling little dogs. Pets are welcome at Tom's Farms and it was marvelous to see those two little ladies.
TheWizard stayed home today, but BPettit brought some other friends and you will see photos of a couple of them later on. He also brought the recent article where he was featured in the LLU quarterly magazine. I reported last month that it is a "newsletter" but it is a HUGE, professional magazine! I think you might also be able to find the article at www.llu.edu, but I am putting it here at the end of the luncheon pictures, so that you will be sure to see it.
We sure hope YOU get a chance to be with us next time!
If you have not seen it before, be sure to visit Heather's Page!
Please go back to the main SGGAF page for address, directions, and other general information about our luncheons.
We always miss (and gossip about) those who can't attend... and we always have a good time with those who CAN.

together with screen names for online pals we've talked to but have not met
before. Lots of pals were otherwise occupied today, and if you weren't
able to attend,
WE MISSED YOU!
These pictures are courtesy of LadyZinnia. VistaGal always has nice photos on her site, also. You'll find a link to her site at the end of these pages.
All of these pictures have the captions ATTACHED to them, so they will stay with the photos if you want to right-click and download any of them to your computer.
I always put these photos up two or three to a page, so that I can leave them larger and still have them load quickly into your browser. Just keep using the "NEXT" button on each page to see more pictures.
