Re: NJL (New 'Jerry' Logo)
The Geriatrics unveiled new jerseys in their game against the Indians. I would have put up a team photo -- but only 5 or so players showed up.
It was hoped that the excitement of obtaining new jerseys would inspire the 'Jerry's' to pull out a victory -- It wasn't.
For those of you interested -- the new logo was designed by Steven Breen - Pulitzer Prize winning cartoonist for the Asbury Park Press -- as well as creator of the new Grand Avenue comic strip. Why Steve would want to associate himself with a team such as the 'Jerry's' is anyone's guess.
One question that came up during the game with the Indians (besides the obvious "Can anyone sink the biscuit?") was "Who did Steve have in mind when he drew the logo?" After a quick review of the team on the floor -- it's quite obvious that Steve must have caught a few games before he drew the logo.
The resemblance, as they say - is uncanny.

Obviously, Steve had the Geriatric captain, Anthony Natale in mind. -- Just compare these features:
Well -- there's one mystery solved... As for whether the Geriatrics can sink the puck --- well not against the Indians they can't.
