Land fills.

Are they simply holes filled with trash, or maybe a recipe for good road management.
Turning the spotlight on this phnemnenon of the nineties. We tried to answer
all the important enviromental and moralistic questions it has raised, amongst
the communities which had the pleasure of living next to or even in, these
gardens of filth.

When interviewed two years ago about the effect of the nearby land fill on
their everyday lives the residents of Fosaroe had these mixed reactons.

"A what?"

"There deadly, they'd be even better if they bought Ravenelli"

and

"Get that fuckin thing outta my face!"

Were these responses fueled by the outrage of having hundreds of tons of filt
emptied on there doorsteps. Were they indeed referances to the Land fill at
all. Or did these responses stem simply from the neglected ones our educational
has left behind or vomitted out in it's wake.
We had uncovered something more than a simple documentary on landfills
full of trash, we had found house after house after shed filled with a
differant sort of trash. And it was white. We went in search of the answers.
This did not prove easy however since our questions on educational policy were
greeted with responses such as.

" Edu what?"

"It's deadly, It'd be even better if they bought Ravenelli"

and

"Get that fuckin thing outta my face.

So it was not surprising that, in the end, we simply packed up our camera (or
at least Camera cases) made our excuses, and left. Not before we promised
profusely that the the purchase of Ravenelli would defiitely be the way to go
and that we would take it up with our producer if we could just have our car
keys back, and our car seats, nevermind maybe we could just have some bus
fare.... No? well that was O.K. we fancied a walk or maybe jog anyway and I had
been meaning to find myself some alternative footwear.

The fact remains. When their was a Lanfill beside Fossaroe, it had made little
differance to the area in general.

Except maybe improve the odour a Tad.

Signing off.

P. Wanchope.
