Ye Olde Globe first became a pub in 1675, having been converted from a row of three cottages dating from about 1280.

Some local opinions are that the cottages were three remaining from a row of five built to house masons working on one of the stages of building Berrynarbor Church.

The lime-ash floors are over 400 years old, there is still a well located under the Darts area, and the pub is full of antiques and curios.

The public rooms are known as the Kitchen, Village Bar, Lounge, Dining Room, and there is also a large family room with ball play and climbing frame. There is also an attractive garden, where you can enjoy picturesque views of the surrounding hills and the children can play in the outdoor play area.
