MANGO STORY
Description of Mango
Maharishi Sri Naradhar brought one
Holy Mango and gave that to Lord Shiva and told that this Mango is a Holy
one and sparingly aavailable and one who eats without splitting will have
Good deeds. if Mango is splitted it will loose his holyness.
Then Lord Shiva asked Sri Naradhar why he didn't ate this Mango. Sri
Naradhar told that he wants Lord Shiva should get this good deeds.
Lord Shiva and Goddess Remarks
Lord Shiva thought while and requested Goddess Shakthi to eat as she is
the Mother for the whole universe. Goddess shakthi in turn requested Lord
Shiva to eat the Mango and he should get Good deeds as he always gives
his deeds to his devotees. Then Lord Shiva told to Goddess that then we
both should give this Mango to our Sons. Goddess too agreed to give Mango
to their sons.
Lord Shiva Judgement
They have two Sons. Elder son name is Sri Ganesh and younger son name is
Sri Muruga. Lord Shiva asked Goddess to tell to which son they can give
this mango. Goddess has equal affection on both the sons, so Goddess told
to Lord Shiva to decide. Then Lord Shiva asked Sri Naradhar to propose
the name of son whom they can give this mango. Sri Naradhar told that Lord
Shiva is More Knowledgeable person in judging to whom mango should be given.
By the time Sri Naradhar replied, both Sri Ganesh and Sri Muruga came
to their parents asking asking for the Mango. Each son claimed that he
is eligible for it. Goddess seeing this got worried and asked Lord Shiva
to solve this problem softly.
Then Lord told to both the sons that he will give a test, one who does
successfully will get this mango. Both the sons agreed for the Test.
TEST
Test was One who goes around the earth thrice and completes the journey
earlier will be eligible for this mango.
Sri Muruga sat over the bird peacock started to go around the earth.
But Sri Ganesh asked Sri naradhar that Is Father and Mother is Symbol of
Earth. Sri naradhar replied yes. So Sri Ganesh went around his Father and
Mother thrice and work shipped him and told them to give the Mango. Lord
Shiva gave the mango to Sri Ganesh and ate happily. Sri Muruga came sitting
on the peacock and saw his elder eating mango and got angry.
Later Goddess explained the Wisdom of Sri Ganesh to Sri Muruga and advised
him to get the blessing of his brother.
