Maxwell chose Sony because
they allowed him to retain his originality as an artist. It was this
same characteristic that made Sony nervous. Maxwell signed with Sony
in 1994, and Urban Hang Suite (UHS) was completed in 1995. It
sat at Sony's "warehouse" undistributed until 1996.
