Cheyenne
is my best friend in the world. She is a one of a kind dog who adores me as
much as I do her. She would follow me everywhere if she could. There will
never be another Cheyenne! I bought her from my friend Barbara Trent, 5 yrs
ago ago. I met Barbara at a German Style dog show the summer of 1994 after
admiring her 6 month old puppy, Saber. He was awarded 3rd place out of a huge
30 plus class entry. He was one gorgeous puppy. Barbara planned on re-breeding
mama Diamond to the same stud dog again, CH. HERITAGE HILL MARSHAL DILLON, so
I told her to reserve the pick puppy bitch for me. The following January I
received a call telling me that the little mother was expecting the end of
February. I visited Diamond during her pregnancy and the pups after their
birth, there
were
12 puppies! Originally I had my eye on another puppy, but at 5 weeks I could
tell that this puppy was crazy about men and gravitated toward Barbara's
husband Al and my husband Tom. This pup was going to be my dog and we already
had a Siberian Husky at home who preferred my husband over me, and I wasn't
going to make that mistake again. Another puppy I liked initially was the
biggest girl in the litter. She was second in size only to the largest male.
She had great bone and looked like a bear cub. I gave the pups a test, Mama
Diamond walked by, and all the little pups scampered after her and then I
called " here puppy, here puppy !!" and patted the ground. One puppy
stopped and turned and looked at me and then came running. It was the largest
female who would become my dear Cheyenne. I hope you will enjoy clicking to
her picture page.
