At EMF we have developed an extensive know-how in surface finishing treatments. We do Electropolishing and Passivation and a combination of the two.
Besides our own production of stainless steel equipment, we do surface finishing treatment as a stand alone service. In other words: we can start you at the finish.
We have a track record of doing surface finishing treatment for these demanding industries: petro chemical, food processing, pharmaceutical, aero-space, medical appliances and computer hardware.

Passivation
Is an efficient surface treatment and corrosion control program. In many instances this can be used alone. It is more economical than electropolishing, and in some instances may be the only means of passivating a product.
The subject is lowered into a citric acid bath that is heated up to 60 degrees Celcius. The treatment  removes oils and impurities from the outer surface of the subject.

Electropolishing
If you demand the highest quality surface on your equipment electropolishing is it.
It's not only the smoothest and most sanitary surface you can possibly wish for;
it also has a sparkling beauty to it. It gives you the highest shine you can obtain in steel.
Electropolishing is an electro-chemical process. The subject is lowered in an acidy  liquid solution (EP4000) and a current is sent through it. It causes particles that sticks out (on a molecular level) to break loose and leave behind a very smooth and shiny surface.

Cleaner than Squeaky Clean
