COMWORKS, INC. was established in  February 23, 1996 and organized to distribute communication equipment, supplies and accessories.  It exclusively distributed Smart products, one of the leading cellular service provider in the country,  and was awarded a major dealership contract by SMART in June 6, 1996.

Comworks concentrated in developing provincial sales networks. It is responsible for designing controls on inventory and remittance that was later used and applied by the other major dealers in their operations. The company successfully captured new provincial markets by  opening dealership groups, conducting massive training and doing market saturation instantaneously with SMART’s provincial  roll out.  In 1997, it ranked second as the dealer with the nationwidest reach in distribution.

It is also responsible in designing and implementing innovative sales plans  such as the Zero Cash Out Financing Program through its affiliate financing  companies.  It has successfully packaged this type of programs for giant firms such as Asia Brewery, Coca Cola Bottlers Phils., Republic Chemicals, Stork Phils., St. James Academy and many others.

With the recent introduction of the prepaid service in the telecommunications industry, Comworks is a forerunner in the development of non-traditional outlets.  Focusing on  service and   niche marketing , it is first to produce customized merchandising materials for its outlets.  It is  also first to field account managers to service this segment of the market offering specially designed sales support system and  controls  as part of the package.

Its head office  located in  Quezon City   handles its NCR and Northern Luzon operations.  It has a  Branch  Office in Lipa  City , Batangas which handles sales activities for its Southern Luzon operations.  In addition , it operates a sales office in Commonwealth Ave., Quezon City, that is co-located with a SMART Telecenter.  ComWorks is one of only two major dealers awarded with such concession.

It has been awarded by SMART Communications as the Most Promising Dealer for  CY 1997.
