About the Department
Station # - 75
The Grandview Volunteer Fire Department (GVFD) serves the town of Grandview and surrounding area. The town is located 35 miles south of Fort Worth, Texas along I-35.
There are currently about 33 members on the department. Many of these members also participate in the EMS services provided by the GVFD.
Meetings are held on the first and third Monday of each month. If a holiday occurs on one of those two days, the meeting is rescheduled accordingly. All meetings last for a minimum of two hours. The first meeting of the month is a business meeting and if time permits, truck and vehicle maintenance. The second meeting of each month is set aside as training. Meetings are mandatory, unless at work or school.
