Some of the most common species of wildlife found at Ben Lomond are the Bennetts wallabies, Common wombats and Pademelons. These animals can usually be seen all year round even at the Creek Inn in the ski village during winter.

The Common ringtail and brushtail possums, Forester or Eastern grey kangaroo, Long-nosed potoroo and Sugar gliders have also been observed in the area.

Other wildlife that you may be able to see on site are the Brown bandicoot, Tasmanian devil, Eastern and Tiger quolls, the Echidna and also Platypus can sometimes be sighted in the Upper Ford river.

Birdlife that can be spotted are the Yellow-tailed black cockatoo, Green rosella, Laughing kookaburra, and if you are fortunate enough the majestic Wedge-tailed eagle.
