1/2 cup Butter
1 tsp. Cinnamon
2 large Granny Smith Apples
3/4 cup Nuts (chopped)
1 cup Brown Sugar
1/2 tsp. Nutmeg
1 Lemon
1 package Yellow Cake mix (plus ingredients to make the cake according to directions on box)

Melt butter in 12 inch Family Skillet. Stir in the brown sugar and spices. Sprinkle with nuts. Peel, core, and slice apples and arrange apple slices in Skillet. Mix cake
mix according to box instructions in 2 Quart Batter Bowl. Pour cake mix over apples. Bake at 350 degrees F. in covered skillet for 30 - 35 minutes. This can also be made in a 9 x 13 Stoneware Baker or pan.) Remove from oven. Cool slightly and turn onto platter. Cut with Serrated Bread Knife. Serve with Spatula. Decorate
each slice with cool whip or serve with
ice cream! YUM!!
