Woodchurch University
is a private academic institution. It is a non-traditional, non campus, university and awards it's degrees based on the prior learning
and life experience of an applicant. The University does not
cater to students who are seeking to enrol in a traditional
campus based establishment.
Woodchurch University degrees are EARNED
degrees, they CANNOT simply be purchased.
However, it is possible to earn a degree with no further work or study providing the applicant is deemed to already meet the required standards based on prior leaning and life experience. Each application is reveiwed by a Review Panel consisting of a Chairman who is always one of the Deputy Deans, two indentured professors (one from the Faculty of Arts, one from the Faculty of Science) and a Personnel Officer from industry. As such each Reveiw Panel is balanced to accurately and fairly assess each application.
Should the Review Panel find insufficient academic credits to authorize an immediate award, the applicant may complete a course of study directed by a tutor appointed by the University. If this is not to the satisfaction of the applicant, the application may be withdrawn and the application fee will be reimbursed, less a $10 U.S. administration fee.
The legal status of the University is that of a non-profit foundation created according to the laws of the Irish Republic. As such it is independent of accreditation by the national education system of that country, although it scrupulously observes all laws pertaining to the management of a tertiary level degree granting institution. The University does not maintain nor is it legally required to maintain, a physical campus in the Irish Republic and it is administered internationally.
