Ranking as the most talked about and invesitigated UFO incident since the late 1940's. The 'Roswell incident' as it is called, describes a UFO crash and retrieval that happened near the town of Roswell in July of 1947. After the recovery a group called Majestic 12 was formed to look into the UFO question and national security. These are supposedly the original members:

James Forrestal, first US Secretary of Defence. In 1949, he allegedly had a mental breakdown and committed 'suicide'. Replaced by General Walter Bedell Smith. A book was written by Whitley Strieber called 'Majestic' which is allegedly Forrestal's actual diary describing the existance of UFO's. |
