History of Queanbeyan Branch

There have been members of the Church in Queanbeyan since the 1960s. They met variously with Canberra Branches and as a separate unit in rented premises for many years. It wasn't until the early 1990s that Queanbeyan finally gained its own dedicated chapel.

Queanbeyan Branch has been part of Canberra Stake since its inception in early 1995. Its boundaries take in a number of small outlying settlements as well as Queanbeyan itself. Attending members currently number about 50, although this is highly subject to fluctuation (about 35 attend at any one time). Around six Young Women attend meetings and activities.

The Branch President is President Matthew Moir, who has held the position since November 1998.
