What is it like to be a Latter-Day Saint in Queanbeyan Branch, New South Wales, Australia? This part of our web site introduces you to where we live and to the Church in Queanbeyan.

This is what the Young Women have to say about living in Queanbeyan:

'It's home. And I love the scenery - the parks are beautiful - both in Queanbeyan and Canberra. It's generally peaceful, and as the town motto goes: "Country Living, City Benefits". It's nice to be a part of the community, as we're more close knit than large cities are, and we have Australia's Capital City right at our doorstep. Canberra is a planned city and so everything is set out really nicely. Very picturesque, something everyone in the world should see. So if you're planning a trip, or even if you're not, come and visit Canberra, and stop in on Queanbeyan on your way!'

'It's good to be able to go to Questacon (Questacon is the National Science and Technology Museum in Canberra.), the War-Memorial, Telstra Tower, National Gallery of Autralia, Captain Cook fountain, Old Parliament House, New Parliament House...etc...'

'It's close to Canberra, close to Sydney, close to the snow, close to the beach, and it's a great country town!'

Queanbeyan is a beautiful town with lots of beautiful and new land! It is a wonderful place to live because of its environment. It has been a great place to grow up in and learn new things in.Queanbeyan is an organised town. We have Australia's Capital City right next to us, The snow, Wonderland, Sydney, beaches......everything you could want - only just a couple of hours away! Queanbeyan is truly an excellent place to live in!
