How it reminds
us to Stand as Witnesses
-
Because of its size and location, Telstra Tower is a highly-visible landmark.
We can see the Tower from the windows of our chapel in Queanbeyan, despite
being some kilometres away (and across the Territory/State border).
-
The Tower is tall and straight, pointing heavenward regardless of the weather
conditions (high winds, snow, electrical storms).
-
Everybody in Canberra knows where the Tower is and it is often used as
a point of reference.

| What
the Queanbeyan Young Women Say
'Telstra Tower stands up very high into the air, on a mountain. It is
a landmark that can be seen all over Canberra from virtually any point,
if you choose to see it. Similarly we stand up in the world for all to
see if they choose, as witnesses of Christ, and of the Church.'
'There is only one Telstra Tower throughout the world like the one in
Canberra. It shows uniqueness and that we are one of a kind.'
'It's a very high point in Canberra and it looks over it, standing and
witnessing everything that goes on in Canberra.'
