The Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy is a national program sponsored by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. to enchance the future of young girls as they approach the next milennium. The academy is designed for girls between the ages of 11 and 14 who demonstrate the potential to succeed, but may not have the necessary support systems. The program seeks to rememdy some of the deficiencies faced by involving the young girls in suupervised and structured experiences that will help them grow up to be productive citizens. The program is on 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. They meet at various locations but mostly at Stults Road Elementary.
