About Sobo Machine Works

Founded in 1990 by Jason Sobolewski and Scott Muir. Sobo Machine Works was established to find solutions to tough manufacturing problems. Both founding members were Engineers in typical manufacturing facilities. Seeing that larger companies were cutting back on core engineering to stay competitive both Jason and Scott saw an opportunity to start a niche company to solve problems that companies couldn't afford to correct themselves and yet couldn't afford to ignore.

We were both tired of the time consuming procedures and restrictions in engineering out problems and getting new equipment built. This was what we both loved to do and were good at. Working for a large company seemed to hinder the speed and reaction time to get a solution. Creating and building unique solutions for tough application problems was what we both loved. This gave us the opportunity to expand what we were good at and cut out the red tape. -Jason Sobolewski

I had worked for several manufacturing companies and was the person they'd rely on to find the new answers. Every company only has so many of these opportunities and I wanted a chance to expand my experiences. Sobo Machine Works now employs 10 engineers and 20 full time machinists. Manufacturing equipment from $1,000 to $3,000,000 and up.
