To develop applications that are affordable, user friendly, and require less time for training.

Overview:

The applications on this web site perform two functions, engineering calculations and database applications that use Excel and Visual Basic.  The engineering applications use basic equations that can be found in most engineering books.  All the equations that are used in an application can be viewed by the user once the application has been started.  The programs give approximate calculated results that will perform close to the real part.  Any calculated results from these programs should be verified with actual prototype parts from a manufacture.  The engineering applications are intended for a quick solution to a design problem.  If a detailed analysis is required, other methods may need to be considered.  The data base applications are more specific to the user.  I have included one example of a data base application on this web site.  Click on Excel Applications using VB for further details.

The programs were developed to produce a user friendly environment that is clear even for the non engineers.  A lot of time and effort has been spent on the user interface and the calculated results from each program.  Users are guided through the programs with graphical interfaces to help in a design problem.  Variables are labeled on diagrams and each input or option selection has a tool tip message for help.   Each program has design tips about the type of application being designed and notes on how to use the application.   I have also included the limitations within each application if applicable.   Simply click on Excel Application link at the top of this page to see the applications available.

Most people have been expose to Excel to some extent.  Little training is needed to begin using these applications.  The application,  materials and related properties, and reports are stored in the Excel file.
