Why Southern Independence?
If it's good enough for Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine, Slovakia, The Czech Republic, Croatia, Bosnia, and Kosovo, Its good enough for Dixie. Here are some more realities of life behind the Cotton Curtain.
The Top Ten Reasons for Southron Independence
(As listed in R. Gordon Thornton's book, The Southern Nation)
Southrons have a God-given right of self-preservation. The American Empire censors and discourages both Southern culture and Southern heritage, threatening the historical right of the Southern people to exist as a distinct cultural group.
The empire's education establishment dictates the education of Southern children. This leaves Southrons with no realistic chance for local input.
In the 1860s, the American Empire destroyed and confiscated the property of the Southern people while Southerners were acting within their rights. The injury did not end there. Because of this continuing campaign, Southerners suffer constant meddling and social engineering at the hands of non-elected federal judges and bureaucrats.
Due to its moral depravity, continued association with the American Empire serves only to promote similar moral decay in our own people.
Continued economic oppression coupled with a repressive tax system that will never change ensures that the American Empire will never allow the South to advance beyond its status as a second-class colony of the Empire.
The American imperial system is rotten with corruption from its highest to its lowest levels. The system is a self-fulfilling prophecy with no hope of meaningful reform.
The empire purposefully ships the South's already low-wage jobs overseas via corporate greed and imperial trade agreements.
A free society can exist only as long as there is the free exchange of ideas and freedom of association. The American Empire silences any Southern dissent by propaganda, harassment, blacklisting, or further oppression. Therefore, imperial American society is no longer a free society.
It is plain that Southern participation in the grand American experiment is no longer welcome (except as cannon fodder), since no traditional Southron is allowed a seat on the Supreme Court or any of the empire's controlling bodies.
The American Empire has encouraged the secession and recognized the independence of states seceding from other empires while repeatedly using force to deny the Southern people that same right. According to the laws of nations and precedents set by past actions of the American Empire, the South has a natural, legal right to its freedom and independence.

A View Of Life Behind The Cotton Curtain

No Matter what the Massachusetts Pilgrims claimed, the first Thanksgiving was celebrated in Jamestown, Virginia years earlier.
Several New England states repeatedly threatened to secede without the federal government sending in troops to stop them. The first time was in 1803, the second in 1814, and the third in 1845, just 16 years before those same states sent troops to invade, conquer, and plunder the South.
Due to economics and higher draft quotas, Southerners pay a higher price in blood every time the American Empire decides to fight. While only about 1/4 of the general population, Southerners made up 26 % of the armed forces in WWI, 34% in WWII, 35% in Korea, 36% in Vietnam, and 41% in the Persian Gulf War.
The American Empire's industrialists view Southern land as disposable land, so the South has more than 300 Super Fund sites.
The Fair Labor Standards Act was adopted during the Great Depression, but the minimum wage it set was not a humanitarian gesture. It was designed to protect Northern jobs at the expense of Southerners.
As roughly 1/4 of the population, Southerners produce 1/3 of America's goods and services for only 4/5 of the pay workers get in the rest of the country.
Southrons pay an average of 40-45% of their lower wages in various taxes each year.
Despite its handicaps, if the South were independent today, it would be the third most prosperous nation on earth.
The South makes, mines, or grows almost every product it needs. If independent, the South would be one of the few self-sufficient nations on earth.
