New books are added to the library each year through the Birthday Book Club. This is the main source of funding for new library books. Parents may honor their child's birthday by giving a contribution which goes to the purchase of a book. Each book has a name plate with the birthday child's name inscribed on it. Every child receives a Reed Raccoon Book mark as a thank you for participating in the Birthday Book Club and they are the first to check out the book. The books are presented during weekly library classes.
Birthday Books recently given include: Snowflake Bently, The Track and Field Athelete, McDuff and the Baby, I Know My Monster Mama Loves Me, and A Spoon For Every Bite.
