I haven't always been interested in science fiction and fantasy. It started with Star Trek, which I got interested in by accident, through my father. He has loved Star Trek for years, so I was constantly exposed to it from a very early age. Eventually, I began to actually like it (it was that or go insane I suppose!).

Branching out

After I'd seen every episode I could get my hands on I started reading the novels. Upon discovering that my favourite author was Diane Duane, I decided to read some of her non-Star Trek fiction, and I loved it. From there, I gradually branched out into other areas of SF and fantasy.

The outer limits?

I'm still branching out all the time, constantly discovering new authors and finding out more about what I like and dislike, and sometimes surprising myself...
