Well, first of all, I'm not a native Kansan. Born in Georgia, I spent nearly four years down south before moving to Missouri, where I spent eight years, and on to Washington, DC, where I lived for an unfortunately brief two years. THEN came the four years in Kansas. Between that and frequent family vacations to places like Yellowstone and Philadelphia and Salt Lake City and San Francisco... travel -- domestic -- is hardly a new element. Internationally, a few random strokes of luck and blessings of opportunity/money have enabled me to visit Germany, Austria, Spain, Gibraltar (Britain), Morocco, and Mexico. That said, I'm taking this interim year before attending the University of Richmond to seek a new experience where I can gain independence and explore/develop my abilities in roles other than "student." As an added perk, I get to give something back to the community (globally, in this case), by using volunteer/work programs.
