Why Do Lunches Need Stupid Names?
At our school, the lunches occasionally have "fun" names. Unfortunately, these names do not affect the actual lunch and are there for no apparent reason. An example is that on Columbus Day, it's Star Wars lunch day. There is Asteroids (chicken nuggets) and Cosmo Beef Fritter. Oh boy, I want a Cosmo Beef Fritter! If you can find the reference to Star Wars, please notify because I don't see it. Another day is Jungle Book lunch. You can choose from Pizza Pride or a Rainforest, which is actually a yogurt fruit plate with a hot roll. Of course a yogurt fruit plate and a hot roll symbolize the rainforest (that was sarcasm in case you couldn't tell). If you ask me, just leave the names alone. It won't make the food taste better, and it will save space on the menu.

Clothing- Too Much for Too Little
Everyday at school, I see at least 50 kids with an Old Navy shirt or Abercrombie and Finch or Fiche, whichever. It makes me wonder why someone would spend $20-25 for a shirt when all that separates it from another is the name on the front. Is a name that important? I buy non-designer clothes that look just fine, plus I save $15. Another thing is shoes. I am used to paying around $20, so when I here of someone paying $80 or more, I'm shocked. Again, the only difference is the little logo. Has our society come to a point where a symbol is of this much value. I have a personal logo. Can I put it on a shirt and sell it for $30? Brand name clothing is not only a waste of money, but a free advertisement for that company. Now I've worn a few company names before, like Blizzard or Cinemark, but I don't pay a lot and I support their business. I don't do it just to look cool. If image is everything, what has happened to personality?
