The Valley of Flowers is situated near to Badrinath and Joshimath. The journey begins from Govind Ghat . From here a 16Km trek along the river trail and some breath taking landscapes take one to Ghagharia. A nights halt is required and then begins another 5Km down hill trek to the valley. The best time to visit the valley is from mid July to mid August. While at Ghagharia an alternative 6Km tough trek takes to Hemkunth Sahib, the religious place of the Sikhs.
